The Hong Kong stock market on Wednesday halted the two-day winning streak in which it had collected more than 300 points or 1.2 percent. The Hang Seng now sits just above the 24,130-point plateau and it’s tipped to open under pressure again on Thursday.
The global forecast for the Asian markets is negative thanks to elevated treasury yields and concerns over the outlook for interest rates. The European and U.S. markets were firmly in the red and the Asian bourses are expected to follow that lead.
