The Malaysia stock market headed south again on Thursday, one day after ending the four-day slide in which it had slumped more than 15 points or 0.9 percent. The Kuala Lumpur Composite Index now sits just above the 1,730-point plateau although it’s expected to bounce higher again on Friday.

The global forecast for the Asian markets is mixed to higher on optimism over the outlook for interest rates. The European markets were down and the U.S. bourses were up and the Asian markets figure to follow the latter lead.
