The UK stock market’s benchmark index FTSE 100 drifted lower on Monday with investors largely making cautious moves while assessing the prospects of the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. Amid a lack of corporate earnings new and economic data from the domestic front, trading remained somewhat lackluster since the opening bell.
The FTSE 100, which dropped to 10,859.09, was down 29.21 points or 0.27% at 10,871.80 nearly half an hour past noon.
