The Taiwan stock market has finished lower in two of three trading days since the end of the two-day winning streak in which it had rallied almost 3,450 points or 8 percent. The Taiwan Stock Exchange now sits just beneath the 44,400-point plateau and it may extend those losses on Friday.
The global forecast for the Asian markets is soft ahead of key U.S. jobs data, and on a spike in crude oil prices. The European markets were flat and the U.S. bourses were down and the Asian markets figure to split the difference.
