{"id":8234,"date":"2021-03-22T04:08:26","date_gmt":"2021-03-22T04:08:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pantheregroup.com\/2021\/03\/22\/sensex-nifty-open-tad-lower\/"},"modified":"2021-03-22T04:08:26","modified_gmt":"2021-03-22T04:08:26","slug":"sensex-nifty-open-tad-lower","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pantheregroup.com\/2021\/03\/22\/sensex-nifty-open-tad-lower\/","title":{"rendered":"Sensex, Nifty Open Tad Lower"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> \n<\/p>\n<div id=\"ctl00_CPI_dvBody\">\n<p> Indian shares opened a tad lower on Monday as investors fretted over rising bond yields and climbing Covid-19 infections in the country.<\/p>\n<p>The benchmark BSE Sensex dropped 180 points, or 0.4 percent, to 49,676 in early trade, while the broader NSE Nifty index was down 44 points, or 0.3 percent, at 14,699.80.<\/p>\n<p>IndusInd Bank, Reliance Industries, ICICI Bank, Tata Motors and Power Grid Corp fell 1-2 percent, while GAIL, Divis Laboratories, Cipla and BPCL all rose over 1 percent. <\/p>\n<p>Future Retail slumped 5 percent after it filed an appeal against a Delhi High Court ruling which raised hurdles to the sale of its assets to Reliance Industries.
