The Straits Times Index now sits just above the 5,300-point plateau although it may stop the bleeding on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"fade-paragraph\">The global forecast for the Asian <span class=\"landLinks\">markets<\/span> is murky, with tech weakness countered by sinking oil prices.
