The Straits Times Index now sits just beneath the 5,750-point plateau and it may see additional support on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"fade-paragraph\">The global forecast for the Asian <span class=\"landLinks\">markets<\/span> is mixed to higher on optimism over the outlook for interest rates.
