On the economic front, the Gross Domestic Product or GDP for the first quarter will be published at 8.30 am ET. The consensus is for a decline of 0.3 percent, while it was down 0.3 percent in the prior quarter. <\/p>\n
The Labor Department’s Jobless Claims for the week will be issued at 8.30 am ET. The consensus is 230K, while the initial claims in the prior week was 227K.<\/p>\n
The Corporate Profits for the first quarter is scheduled at 8.30 am ET. In the prior quarter, the Corporate Profits were up 12.1 percent. <\/p>\n
The Pending Home Sales Index for April will be released at 10.00 am ET. The consensus is for a decline of 1.1 percent, while it was up 6.1 percent in the previous month. <\/p>\n
The Energy Information Administration or EIA’s Natural Gas Report for the week is expected at 10.30 am ET. In the prior week, the gas stock was at 120 bcf. EIA’s Petroleum Status report is scheduled at 12.00 pm. In the prior week, crude oil inventories were up 1.3 million barrels and gasoline inventories were up 0.8 barrels.<\/p>\n
