targets and accused the firm\u2019s board of failing to hold management accountable for underperformance.<\/p>\n<p>It also repeated a criticism that has previously been levelled at Parkland\u2019s board for its reported rejection of a<span style=\"font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, 'Segoe UI', Roboto, Oxygen-Sans, Ubuntu, Cantarell, 'Helvetica Neue', sans-serif;\"> takeover offer made in 2023. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, 'Segoe UI', Roboto, Oxygen-Sans, Ubuntu, Cantarell, 'Helvetica Neue', sans-serif;\">\u201c<span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">Parkland\u2019s board refused to engage with a credible strategic party who reportedly submitted a premium takeover offer in the summer of 2023,\u201d Engine said.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Parkland did not respond to questions about Engine\u2019s claims on Monday, but the company on Tuesday announced it was adding two new independent directors to its
