{"id":56650,"date":"2025-02-25T10:22:43","date_gmt":"2025-02-25T10:22:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pantheregroup.com\/2025\/02\/25\/sensex-nifty-end-marginally-higher-3\/"},"modified":"2025-02-25T10:22:43","modified_gmt":"2025-02-25T10:22:43","slug":"sensex-nifty-end-marginally-higher-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pantheregroup.com\/2025\/02\/25\/sensex-nifty-end-marginally-higher-3\/","title":{"rendered":"Sensex, Nifty End Marginally Higher"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> \n<\/p>\n<div id=\"ctl00_CPI_dvBody\">\n<p> Indian shares eked out modest gains on Tuesday as investors hunted for bargains after a sharp decline over the last five trading sessions. <\/p>\n<p>A cautious undertone prevailed in the wake of fresh U.S. trade measures against China and President Donald Trump&#8217;s comments that tariffs on Canada and Mexico will proceed as planned once the monthlong delay ends next week.<\/p>\n<p>Trump also stated at a White conference that the U.S. has been &#8216;taken advantage of&#8217; by other nations and he would impose reciprocal tariffs to &#8216;make up a lot of territory.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>The benchmark 30-share BSE Sensex moved in a narrow range before ending the session up 147.71 points, or 0.20 percent, at 74,602.12. <\/p>\n<p>The broader NSE Nifty index closed at 22,547.55, down 5.80 points, or 0.03 percent, from its previous close. <\/p>\n<p>The BSE mid-cap and small-cap indexes underperformed, falling 0.6 percent and half a percent, respectively. <\/p>\n<p>The market breadth was negative, with 2,263 shares declining while 1,668 shares advanced and 131 shares ended unchanged. <\/p>\n<p>Sun Pharma, Hero MotoCorp, Trent, Hindalco and Dr Reddy&#8217;s Laboratories fell 2-3 percent in the Nifty pack while Titan Company Nestle India, Bajaj Finance, Mahindra &amp; Mahindra and Bharti Airtel rose 1-2 percent. <\/p>\n<p>Indian stock exchanges BSE and NSE will remain closed tomorrow, 26th February 2025, in observance of Mahashivratri. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><script type=\"text\/javascript\">\n        window.fbAsyncInit = function () {\n            FB.init({\n                status: true,\n                cookie: true,\n                xfbml: true\n            });\n        };\n        (function (d) {\n            var js, id = 'facebook-jssdk'; if (d.getElementById(id)) { return; }\n            js = d.createElement('script'); js.id = id; js.async = true;\n            js.src = \"https:\/\/connect.facebook.net\/en_US\/all.js\";\n            d.getElementsByTagName('head')[0].appendChild(js);\n        }(document));\n    <\/script><br \/>\n<br \/>\n<br \/>Sensex, Nifty End Marginally Higher<\/a><br \/>\n<br \/>2025-02-25 10:22:43<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Indian shares eked out modest gains on Tuesday as investors hunted for bargains after a sharp decline over the last five trading sessions.
