{"id":15151,"date":"2021-10-19T04:24:16","date_gmt":"2021-10-19T04:24:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pantheregroup.com\/2021\/10\/19\/sensex-tops-62100-nifty-above-18550\/"},"modified":"2021-10-19T04:24:16","modified_gmt":"2021-10-19T04:24:16","slug":"sensex-tops-62100-nifty-above-18550","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pantheregroup.com\/2021\/10\/19\/sensex-tops-62100-nifty-above-18550\/","title":{"rendered":"Sensex Tops 62,100; Nifty Above 18,550"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> \n<\/p>\n<div id=\"ctl00_CPI_dvBody\">\n<p> Indian shares opened on a strong note Tuesday after Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said the government is in no hurry to unwind pandemic-era stimulus. <\/p>\n<p>The benchmark 30-share BSE Sensex climbed 345 points, or 0.6 percent, to 62,109 while the broader NSE Nifty index was up 97 points, or half a percent, at 18,574.<\/p>\n<p>Hindustan Unilever advanced 1.5 percent and Nestle India edged up slightly ahead of their earnings results. <\/p>\n<p>Tata Coffee soared 7 percent after it reported higher consolidated profit of Rs 34.04 crore in Q2FY22 against Rs 23.20 crore in Q2FY21. <\/p>\n<p>Larsen and Toubro jumped 3 percent after it emerged as the lowest bidder for the proposed new Common Central Secretariat project. <\/p>\n<p>CG Power &amp; Industrial Solutions rallied 5 percent after it signed a binding term sheet with Evie Real Estate for sale of the company&#8217;s property at Kanjurmarg.<\/p>\n<p>Larsen &amp; Toubro Infotech soared more than 13 percent after it reported higher-than-expected earnings for the September quarter.<\/p>\n<p>SBI rose over 1 percent after raising Rs. 6,000 crore via a bonds issue. <\/p>\n<p>SAIL was little changed.  LIC has offloaded 82,802,533 equity shares in the company.<\/p>\n<p>Reliance Industries rose 0.6 percent.
