Passengers flying with WestJet Group can soon drink Tim Hortons -branded coffee on board following the two Canadian brands’ new partnership.
WestJet said, starting Nov. 30, it will serve a new custom-crafted Tim Hortons blend “specifically designed to taste its best at 35,000 feet” and created exclusively for the partnership.
Chief commercial officer John Weatherill said some partnerships, like bringing together WestJet and Tim Hortons, “just make sense.”
“We’re excited to welcome Tim Hortons and its new Flight Roast blend onboard, giving guests a little taste of home with every cup while reinforcing our ongoing commitment to delivering Canadians with a welcoming experience,” Weatherill said in a press release.
Tim Hortons coffee and tea will be served on WestJet flights that currently offer in-flight refreshments.
In addition to this, the brands will allow customers to link their loyalty memberships for WestJet Rewards and Tims Rewards in 2027 to earn points from both programs for eligible purchases at Tim Hortons. They said account linking will also unlock exclusive offers and promotions.
“The partnership reflects two Canadian brands focused on strengthening guest loyalty through meaningful member benefits and enhanced everyday experiences,” WestJet said.
Additional details regarding the loyalty partnership and member benefits will be announced closer to rollout in 2027, it said.
“This is just the first sip of something bigger,” said Tim Hortons chief marketing officer, Hope Bagozzi. “We’re thrilled to expand our loyalty ecosystem with our WestJet partnership to give Canadians even more value on their Tims runs starting next year.”
Earlier this month, Tim Hortons officially launched a partnership with Canadian Tire Corp. Ltd. allowing customers of both Canadian brands rack up points by linking their rewards cards.
