Stocks may move to the downside in early trading on Monday, giving back ground following the strong upward move seen last Friday. The major index futures are currently pointing to a slightly lower open for the markets, with the S&P 500 futures down by 0.1 percent.
Some traders may look to cash in on the recent strength in the markets, which lifted the Nasdaq and S&P 500 to new record closing highs in the previous session.
