The Singapore stock market has moved higher in two straight sessions, rising almost 15 points or 0.3 percent along the way. The Straits Times Index now rests just beneath the 5,015-point plateau and it’s likely to open under pressure on Wednesday.

The global forecast for the Asian markets remains grim thanks to ongoing geopolitical concerns in the Middle East. The European and U.S. markets were down and the Asian bourses are expected to follow that lead.
