The Taiwan stock market on Wednesday ended the four-day losing streak in which it had plunged almost 1,700 points or 5.3 percent. The Taiwan Stock Exchange now sits just above the 33,170-point plateau and it’s expected to extend its gains on Thursday.
The global forecast continues to be upbeat on optimism over an end to hostilities in the Middle East. The European and U.S. markets were up and the Asian bourses are expected to follow that lead.
