Costco Wholesale Corp.
is teaming up with
Maplebear Inc.
to offer a $10 credit per month to spend on
Instacart deliveries
.
Under the deal, executive members in Canada and the United States will receive the credit to use on
same-day deliveries
valued at $150 or more if they use Maplebear-owned Instacart to ship their Costco orders.
Costco offers
different delivery options depending on the items, but some products can cost $3 per unit. Instacart offers various delivery options for Costco, but all orders must total at least $35 before taxes.
“Our new monthly credit makes it easier than ever for
members across North America
to get Costco’s warehouse items with the convenience of fast and reliable delivery through Instacart,” Daniel Danker, chief product officer at Instacart,
said in a news release.
Costco’s executive memberships, which offer cash back and additional offers, cost $130 annually, while regular plans — dubbed gold memberships — cost $65.
The retailer also announced this week that U.S. stores would open an hour earlier for executive members.
The Instacart offer begins on June 30.
